My Journey in Paint

I create still life paintings that explore the beauty and presence of everyday objects through a contemporary realist approach. Realism is the foundation of my work, allowing me to study form, light, texture, and color with precision and care.  While rooted in traditional representational painting, I explore subtle shifts in scale, composition, and form to create a heightened visual experience. Flowers, grapes, and vessels are often presented larger than life, transforming familiar subjects into monumental visual experiences and revealing their quiet beauty and emotional presence.  Through careful observation and a thoughtful arrangement of form and color, each painting becomes an exploration of harmony between realism and personal expression. My goal is to invite viewers to rediscover the extraordinary within the ordinary and experience familiar objects in a renewed way.
